Have you always done catering Amy?

Nope, I worked in the corporate world for 15 years and as much as this was fun and packed with challenges and learning every day, I grew out of it.

Decided to become a mobile letting agent (haha I know, how random)…I thought years of customer service would put me ahead of other letting agents (after I myself had been let down/dissapointed with service on multiple occasions). Only to realise as a ‘people pleaser’ this was the worst business for me as more often than not you cannot please a Landlord and Tenant equally. I did this for 5 years and it was the worst time. I could write a book on some of my stories…

COVID hit, tenants stopped paying and I was mentally broken. A friend spoke to me about doing graze boxes as she was sick of take aways during lock down.

She suggested this as she knew that behind the scenes I was a food fanatic. Cooking from my cook books daily (which I have done for 20 years). If you look at my books you will see recipes with dates on…telling myself I had already cooked that recipe and therefore not to cook it again. Haha no I am not mad…just a bit quirky!

So thats where it started, delivering Graze Boxes as gifts during lockdown. And then a lovely lady asked me to do a table for her wedding. For 50 people!

Initially there was doubt and anxiety. How would I do this? Ive only ever done a box for 10 people and that took me all day! But the fact my lady had faith and wanted me to do it, how could I say No. And I am so glad I didn’t…as this event opens so many doors for me! The venue immediately signed me up to be on their books and the wedding requests came flooding in.

I quickly realised I needed more space so built a kitchen in my garden. I also made it as a Regional Finalist at The Wedding Industry Awards in 2024. A little ‘pinch me’ moment, little old me against some very amazing catering companies.

I now cater for all sorts events, gatherings, corporate events, celebrations and I love it.
